Join the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and General Motors for Reading and Rhythm on the Riverfront!
A free children's literacy program featuring musical entertainment, storytelling, snacks and each participant receives a brand new free book!
Reading and Rhythm on the Riverfront takes place at Gabriel Richard Park every Thursday and Friday beginning on July 8 and ending on August 13. Each day will hold two sessions at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Children and Families will enjoy a 25 minute musical performance from some of the Detroit's best children's entertainers and then watch a recorded story from local community leaders. Each session lasts about 45 minutes. Afterwards kids can enjoy healthy treats and free books provided by General Motors in partnership with the Detroit Public Library's "Library on Wheels."
