Bring the little lighthouse lovers for a story-time adventure! The Lighthouse keeper will read a tale to the children at the base of the Muskegon South Pierhead Light. Then if the young participant wants to climb to the top of the 118 year old, iron clad light -their admission is FREE with an accompanying adult admission of $5!
1431 Beach Street. Every Monday at 3 p.m. during July and August.
Parking is available in Margaret Drake Elliot Park behind the US Coast Guard Station or travel into Pere Marquette Park and park along the beach to walk to the lighthouses. The South Breakwater Light is accessed from the beach by walking out to it on the breakwater. The South Pierhead Light is accessed through the visitors pathway at the NOAA Lake Michigan Field Station at 1431 Beach St., Muskegon, MI 49441.
