Downtown Scavenger Hunt

Explore #DowntownGR, complete our scavenger hunt missions and get a chance to win amazing prizes every week in August!

GETTING STARTED
1. Download the FREE GooseChase App onto your smartphone: https://www.goosechase.com/download/
2. Once opened you may select an option of: Play as Guest, Log into Existing Account, or Create New Account.
3. Click the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner of the app.
4. Type “DGRI Summer Scavenger Hunt” in the “Search for a game…” box
5. Choose which hunt to complete based on location; North Monroe, Bridge Street, or City Center
6. This will bring you to the game home screen, when you click on “Select Team and Join” you will be able to either create a new team or join a current one.

CREATE A TEAM
After clicking on the “Create Team” button, enter in your team name and (optional) photo. Next, create an access code or use the one given to you. Send this code to other players on your team so they can join. You may create a team at any time before Labor Day!

JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM
1. After clicking on the Select Team and Join button, find your team in the list provided.
2. Once found, enter your team's access code to join.

PLAYING THE GAME
1. The game will automatically start on August 9th at 8am and missions will be available to complete 24/7* until September 6th at 10 PM.
2. Your team will not be timed. Your score is determined by the total points earned. So, feel free to do half one day and finish the rest another. Or stop at one of the businesses/restaurants along the way to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat!
3. Although you may perform the missions in any order, following the list will be the quickest way to complete each hunt.
4. Each mission need only be completed by one (1) person. Any team member can submit answers!
5. Play casually as you explore and interact with our beautiful city or race against friends/family to see who can complete it the fastest. The choice is yours!
6. Each week, the two (2) teams with the highest scores will win prizes courtesy of Downtown Grand Rapids Inc.
*Some missions require interacting with a local business and will only be accessible during their business hours.
